Supervisor Licensing Course

Target audience:
People new to the regulatory supervisory role within regulated financial services.

Learning Aim:
To develop and demonstrate the key skills required by the FSA to supervise and enhance performance.

Learning Outcomes
Delegates will be able to:

Explain FSA T&C requirements and key objectives
Explain how the T&C/supervision is an essential element of TCF
Assess skills accurately using an observation aid
Identify strengths and weaknesses of the advisor's performance and prioritise their development needs
Conduct constructive feedback meetings with the advisor to develop areas of weakness and build on strengths
Conduct effective role-play simulations
Use management information (including Key Performance Indicators) to indicate trends and potential development needs
Explain the secrets of how we learn and establish a meaninful CPD programme
Draw up suitable action plans using effective objectives to address both knowledge and skills
Demonstrate appropriate methods of coaching
