From August 2010, there are two routes via the CII to achieve the FSAs 'RDR compliant' level 4 exams:

1. The Diploma or J0 exam subjects, and/or*
2. The Regulated Diploma or R0 subjects

*anyone who has started down the J0 route can now use credits from the R0 subjects to achieve the overall qualification.

We are currently updating these to reflect the 2010/11 Budget changes.  J06 and J07 are already updated and the other subjects will be updated and available by the end of August.

To quote from two CII Examiner’s Guides, ‘there were some areas where the lack of knowledge became apparent. Overall, the standard of candidate responses was not high.’ (J04, October 2006); ‘the general impression was that most candidates had spent time on the more straight forward or common areas of the syllabus without necessarily covering the whole syllabus in detail.’ (J01, October 2007).

It is clear that there is no short cut to exam success. Successful candidates structure their study and prepare thoroughly across the full syllabus for each subject.

We believe our material may provide part of the solution. Our audio material covers all the key areas of the syllabus and each module lasts for between 3-5 hours depending on the topic. It is written with examples to make it easy to understand. Many people use the material to make better use of their travelling time.

The CDs are written by industry experts - people who not only know the subject matter, but who are also experienced in training people to pass the CII exams. Depending on the programme, there are 3 to 4 hours of material that covers all of the key elements of the syllabus.
