Adviser Skills Masterclass
Audience:
New and existing advisers who wish to develop selected client-facing skills.
Overview:
This is an action-packed one-day course run by one of the industries leading trainers. It is designed for new or existing advisers who wish to share best practice and develop the essential skills they will need post-RDR.
Duration: 1 day
All of our courses are available on an 'in-house basis'. We do not currently provide this as a 'public' course.
As a result of this training, advisers should be able to:
1. Manage the opening of a client meeting to: • Re-consider how we position our services and build value in the eyes of the client • Positively position adviser charging for services, and • Explain financial advice so that it encourages holistic (rather than limited) advice to be provided |
|
| 2. Recognise different client buying motivations and use this to develop rapport and trust more quickly | |
| 3. Structure client meetings to focus more on the client | |
| 4. Use four consultancy questions to probe and positively influence clients | |
| 5. Create an environment that makes it easy for the client to say ‘yes’ to the advice | |
| 6. Explain the FSA requirements under post-RDR COBS and Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) as they apply to the advice process. |
Format:
The course is focussed on developing the essential post-RDR adviser skills. The style is very practical and encourages the exchange of experience, ideas and best practice so people who attend are able to take away practical ideas to real problems.
The course will be highly interactive and numbers will, as a consequence, be restricted to a minimum of 6, maximum of 12. Delegates are also asked to bring with them the documentation they use within their business.
Training methods:
• DVD of advice process
• Trainer Input
• Facilitated discussion
• Skills practice
